Over 90% of American homes have microwave ovens used for meal preparation.

Microwave ovens, originally sold as “Radaranges,” use technology that passes electromagnetic waves through food, exciting the molecules and causing them to move and heat up as they respond to the microwave radiation.

Microwaves are electromagnetic energy that travel at the speed of light. The magnetron in the microwave oven produces wave energy. This wave energy converts polarity of molecules from positive to negative. This polarity changes millions of times every second in the microwave oven. These microwaves bombard the food molecules and makes the polarized molecules to radiate at the same frequency millions of times every second. This friction heats up the food and also causes ‘structural isomerism’, that is, structural damage of the food molecules.

A Swiss study led by biologist and food scientist Dr. Hans Hertel identified the effects of microwaved food. For eight weeks, eight people lived in a controlled environment and intermittently ate raw foods, conventionally cooked foods and microwaved foods. Blood samples were tested after each meal. The microwaved food caused significant changes in blood chemistry.


 Hans Hertel, a Swiss scientist, states:


“There are no atoms, molecules or cells of any organic system able to withstand such a violent, destructive power for any extended period of time, not even in the low energy range of milliwatts… This is how microwave cooking heat is generated – friction from this violence in water molecules. Structures of molecules are torn apart, molecules are forcefully deformed (called structural isomerism) and thus become impaired in quality.”

You might wonder why food is often unevenly heated when taken out of the microwave. The uneven heating occurs because microwaves work with whatever water molecules are present, and since not all areas of food contain the same amount of water, heating becomes uneven.

Another study at Stanford University investigated the effects of microwaving breast milk. One of the head scientists said “Microwaving human milk, even at a low setting, can destroy some of its important disease-fighting capabilities.” They claimed that besides heating, there were many other disturbing alterations in the milk

In early 1991, a lawsuit was filed against an Oklahoma hospital after a patient died from receiving blood that was heated in a microwave oven.


In Russia, microwave ovens were banned in 1976 because of their negative effect on health and wellbeing.
  • Eating food processed from a microwave oven causes permanent brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain.

  • Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.
  • Microwaving milk and cereal grains converted some of their amino acids into carcinogens.
  • Thawing frozen fruits converted their glucoside and galactoside containing fractions into carcinogenic substances.
  • Extremely short exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids into carcinogens.

In Comparative Study of Food Prepared Conventionally and in the Microwave Oven, published by Raum & Zelt in 1992, it states:

“Production of unnatural molecules is inevitable. Naturally occurring amino acids have been observed to undergo isomeric changes (changes in shape morphing) as well as transformation into toxic forms, under the impact of microwaves produced in ovens. One short-term study found significant and disturbing changes in the blood of individuals consuming microwaved milk and vegetables. Eight volunteers ate various combinations of the same foods cooked different ways. All foods that were processed through the microwave ovens caused changes in the blood of the volunteers. Hemoglobin levels decreased and overall white cell levels and cholesterol levels increased. Lymphocytes decreased. Luminescent (light-emitting) bacteria were employed to detect energetic changes in the blood. Significant increases were found in the luminescence of these bacteria when exposed to blood serum obtained after the consumption of microwaved food.”
The bottom line is that microwaves cause cancer and other diseases. They destroy the goodness in our food and weaken our bodies. Ultimately, we should all be thinking about permanently getting rid of them.

5 Foot Exercises To Relieve Back, Hip, And Knee Pain In 20 Minutes or Less

It all starts from the ground up. Your feet might not seem like significant contributors to your overall health. However, when it comes to the external aspects of your body, there is no harder working part then your feet. They keep you moving, and if you take proper care of them, your feet will prevent back, knee and hip pain.

1. Toe Presses

Like any body part, the feet need to have their muscles warmed up properly before engaging in exercise. Next grip the floor with your toes and hold for a count of three. Release and perform a set of 10 reps three times a day.

2. Toe Walking

You don’t have to be a ballerina for this foot exercise. Toe walking will help strengthen the muscles in your toes, as well as the ligaments and muscles surrounding the balls of your feet. To perform the toe walking exercise all you must do is stand on your tiptoes and walk forward for 20 seconds. Once you have completed this walk, rest for 10-15 seconds. Repeat this exercise 5 more times.

Note: this exercise should be performed 2 times a day for best results.

3. Ankle Circles

Ankle mobility and flexibility are extremely important. Ankle’s that are tight and restricted often causes the rest of the body to compensate for their flaws, which results in muscle and joint pain throughout the body. If your ankles are tight you might experience hip, back or knee pain.

To perform ankle circles, put your back to the floor and extend one leg over your head. Rotate the extended leg’s ankle clockwise for 10 counts. Then, rotate the extended leg’s ankle counterclockwise for 10 counts. Switch legs and repeat.


4. Resisted Flexion

Resisted flexion is excellent for targeting the hard to reach small muscles in the foot. These muscles often play a crucial role in maintaining balance. Strengthening these muscles will prevent injury.

To perform this exercise you will need one exercise band. Sitting on the floor, straighten your feet out in front of you. Next, wrap an exercise band around a sturdy chair or bedpost, and then place the band on the top of your feet. While in a seated position on the floor, slide back until you feel tension in the band.

Flex your foot backwards and hold for a count of 5, release and repeat this movement for 10 repetitions.

5. Toe Pencil Pickups

Toe pencil pickups are easy to perform and can be done almost anywhere. All you will need for this exercise is a pencil (or pen we are not picky). Stand in front of the pencil you wish to pick up. Using your toes grab this pencil and elevate it off the ground, hold for 10 seconds, then drop it. Repeat this movement 5 times for each foot.

This exercise routine should only take about 20 minutes to complete. Preform these exercises in succession of each other every 2-3 days for best results.

For years, scientists have uncovered the medical benefits of cannabis for treating everything from anxiety and insomnia to more debilitating disorders like Crohn’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and cancer—to name a few. Now, Israeli researchers at Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University have found yet another medical use of cannabis: treating broken bones.


For years, scientists have uncovered the medical benefits of cannabis for treating everything from anxiety and insomnia to more debilitating disorders like Crohn’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and cancer—to name a few. Now, Israeli researchers at Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University have found yet another medical use of cannabis: treating broken bones.

The new study, published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, examined the effects of non-psychoactive CBD on broken bones. Cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound found in cannabis that is particularly favorable for treatment because unlike tetrayhydrocannibinol (THC)—the best-known cannabinoid—CBD offers medical advantages without inflicting the “high” traditionally associated with marijuana (because of this, it is widely used to stop seizures in epileptic children).

Scientists Say Cannabis Can Help Heal Broken Bones

While the same research team previously discovered that CBD was effective in stimulating the formation of bone and inhibiting bone loss, the new study analyzed broken bones, specifically. According to the researchers,
“The study, conducted on rats with mid-femoral fractures, found that CBD—even when isolated from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the major psychoactive component of cannabis—markedly enhanced the healing process of the femora after just eight weeks.”

The scientists also studied the effects of CBD in conjunction with THC and found that CBD alone was sufficient to facilitate healing. As one of the lead researchers, Dr. Yankel Gabet of the Bone Research Laboratory at the Department of Anatomy and Anthropology, said,

“We found that CBD alone makes bones stronger during healing, enhancing the maturation of the collagenous matrix, which provides the basis for new mineralization of bone tissue…After being treated with CBD, the healed bone will be harder to break in the future.”

From these studies it is clear that the grape seeds make the chemotherapy completely useless, because the extract of these seeds operates more powerful than chemotherapy and unlike it, they do not destroy the whole body, including healthy cells.


Molly Derry, a doctoral candidate from the laboratory of the University of Colorado, who also confirmed that seed extract destroys cancer, revealed to the public the following: 

It takes less than half the concentration of the extract to control the growth of cancer cells and destruction of 50% of the cells in the fourth stage, that it was necessary in achieving similar results in the second stage. Colon cancer cells may have more than 11,000 genetic mutations which is different in the DNA of healthy cells. Traditional chemotherapy can target a specific mutation, and how cancer progresses more mutation occurs. These changes can lead to cancer resistance to chemotherapy. In contrast, many bioactive compounds in grape seed extract are able to target more mutations. More mutations of cancer, more effective the extract is. ”

“For quite some time we are familiar with the fact that the bioactive substances from the grape seed selectively destroy many types of cancer cells. This study shows that many mutations that enable the cells, such as colon cancer, metastasize and survive traditional therapies, make them particularly sensitive to treatment with grape seed extract and extract kills these cells immediately, within 24 hours “said the scientist.

In one study, volunteers who were deprived of sleep saw their levels of the hormone ghrelin soar — making them extremely hungry — while their levels of leptin hormone plummeted. You see, the hormone ghrelin stimulates appetite, and leptin and oxyntomodulin, suppresses it. This indicates why people who are chronically sleep-deprived (getting less than seven hours a night) tend to be more overweight than those who get more sleep. 5. Digestive Problems 

The stress hormones affects us in different ways. Some may carry stress in their head, and get tension headaches, some may just feel cranky and want to curl up on the sofa with a box of chocolates. However, some people carry stress in their stomach. Cortisol production is naturally high in the early morning to help you wake up. However, people who chronically stress their adrenal glands to overproduce cortisol alter their cortisol concentrations so that cortisol is low in the morning when they wake up instead of high. If you frequently experience ‘tropical moments’, then this could be due to an imbalance in hormone levels. It was once thought that being too low in estrogen was the issue. However, we now understand that the cause may also be too much estrogen and too little progesterone, or other hormone imbalances in your body that come from the adrenals, ovaries, thyroid, pancreas or gastrointestinal tract. These systems do not always keep in balance, and women are more prone to hormonal imbalances as they go through midlife changes. There are a number of possible thyroid diseases and disorders, and the two of the most common thyroid disorders are hyperthyroidism (when your thyroid gland makes more thyroid hormones than your body needs) and hypothyroidism (when your thyroid gland doesn’t make enough thyroid hormones). Other diseases include goiter (enlargement of the thyroid gland), thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules (lumps in the thyroid gland) and thyroiditis (inflammation of the thyroid gland).

According to the American Thyroid Association more than 12% of the U.S. population will develop a thyroid condition during their lifetime, and these are many millions of people. Hypothyroidism is more common than hyperthyroidism and although the two disorders are closely linked, they have several important differences that affect diagnosis and treatment.

1. Fatigue and sleep disorders

2. Weight changes 

Hypothyroidism – You have a weight gain or you find it very difficult to lose weight. This is one of the top symptoms in hypo. I have already written a few articles that will help you to lose weight by increasing your metabolism and by eating these foods.

Hyperthyroidism – You may be losing weight although you eat the same amount of food as usual, or even losing weight while eating more than normal due to increased appetite.

 

3. Mood and mental changes

Hypothyroidism – You feel unusually depressed, sad and feeling down. This is because too little thyroid hormone affects the levels of serotonin in the brain. You may also find that your mind is not sharp and that you have poor concentration or poor memory or general brain fog.

Hyperthyroidism – hyperthyroidism is more associated with anxiety or panic attacks, or you feel that you cannot relax. Also too much thyroid hormone can cause difficulty concentrating.


4. Bowel problems

Hypothyroidism – you have severe or long-term constipation. This is one of the top most common symptoms and is due to the changes in hormone level production that can cause a slowdown of digestive processes.

Hyperthyroidism – you have diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).


5. Muscle or joint problems

Hypothyroidism – you feel a sudden numbness, tingling or pain in your limbs. This is because producing too little thyroid hormone can affect the signals sent from the brain and spinal cord throughout the body. You may also feel general muscular or joint stiffness, pain or weakness, or have tendonitis in the arms and legs. 6. Irregular periods, fertility and libido problems

Hypothyroidism – your periods are heavier, longer, more frequent and more painful. You may also suffer from infertility, low sex drive and hormone imbalances such as PMS.

Hyperthyroidism – you have shorter, lighter or infrequent periods. You may also suffer from infertility (both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can interfere with ovulation, which impairs fertility).


7. Hair and skin changes

Hypothyroidism – your hair becomes dry and brittle and falls out easily. This is because too little thyroid hormone disturbs hair growth cycle. You may also have an unusual hair loss in the outer edge of the eyebrow or other body parts. Your skin might be dry due to slowed metabolism and your nails are brittle.

8. Body temperature

Hypothyroidism –
your hands and feet are cold, or you feel cold and have chills, or your body temperature is consistently below 98.5 F (37 C).

Hyperthyroidism – you sometimes feel too warm or sweat excessively.


9. Cholesterol Issues

Hypothyroidism – you have high cholesterol levels, especially when it’s not responsive to diet, exercise or medication.

Hyperthyroidism – you may have unusually low cholesterol levels.


10. blood pressure

Hypothyroidism – it is estimated that people with hypothyroidism have two to three times the risk of developing high blood pressure.

Hyperthyroidism – systolic blood pressure rises (the upper number in a blood pressure reading) However, diastolic pressure usually stays the same or goes down a little.

 

11. Heart rate

Hypothyroidism – You may have slower heart rate. The heart rate is modulated by thyroid hormone, so with lower levels of thyroid hormone the heart rate is typically 10-20 beats per minute slower than normal.

Hyperthyroidism – your heart may be beating too fast or you you have heart flutters or palpitations.

 

12. Neck enlargement (goiter)

A goiter is any enlargement of the thyroid gland. You may feel swelling or lump or discomfort in the neck or a hoarse voice. Goiter can occur both in hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

 

13. Risk factors: Family History, age, gender and smoking

Some people are more likely than others to develop thyroid problems. Both genetic and environmental factors contribute to susceptibility of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Family history – if you have a family history of thyroid problems, you are at a higher risk of having a thyroid condition yourself.

Gender and age – thyroid diseases are more prevalent in females, especially the elderly population. Women are five to eight times more likely than men to have thyroid problems.

Smoking – one component of tobacco smoke is cyanide, which is converted to thiocyanate, which acts as an anti-thyroid agent. The most dramatic effect of smoking on the thyroid is its association with hyperthyroidism. According to an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1993 smokers are twice as likely as nonsmokers to develop Graves’ disease (a swelling of the neck and protrusion of the eyes resulting from an overactive thyroid gland).

So if you suspect you may have a combination of some of these symptoms, you may want to visit your doctor who can diagnose hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism by testing the levels of thyroid hormones in your blood.
